Jewelry Making

In cultural celebrations throughout the world, there is an element of sartorial splendor in the selection of clothing and jewelry, which marks the significance of the event. Lonai will teach students how to create a unique beaded bracelet that includes decorative and glass beads, charms and symbols. Students can incorporate cultural or meaningful elements into their pieces using an array of colors and symbols. For all ages.

  Lonai Mosley is a multi-media visual and digital media artist. Her arts background includes digital media, visual arts, jewelry making, photography and set design. She began upcycling discarded materials into clothing, hats, bags, decorative objects, and furniture with an inspired desire to promote the earth’s sustainability and marine life conservation. 
  
  She started her teaching career as co- originator of The Apollo Theatre-In School Seminar Program. She is a teaching artist with Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning and curator for the Queens Public Library.  Lonai’s career background includes event producer, director, and TV and theater writer.
